By area
What men book
Every area below is its own page with timing, pricing and what to expect. Most men combine two or three into one appointment.
Back
Men's back sugaring removes hair from the shoulder blades to the lower back using natural sugar paste instead of wax. It takes about 45 minutes, costs $80, and is done one-on-one in a private Welland studio.
About 45 minutes$80
Chest & stomach
Men's chest sugaring clears the pecs, sternum and stomach using natural sugar paste. The service is $65, takes 30 to 40 minutes, and leaves skin smooth for three to five weeks — with far less of the blotchy redness that hot wax causes on chest skin.
About 30–40 minutes$65
Brazilian
A men's Brazilian — often called a manzilian — is full hair removal from the front, underneath and between, using natural sugar paste. It's $85, takes about 45 minutes, and is performed one-on-one behind a locked door with no shared waiting room and no other staff in the studio.
About 45 minutes$85
Shoulders & neck
Shoulder and neckline sugaring clears the deltoids, the tops of the upper arms and the hairline at the back of the neck. It's $45, runs about 20 to 25 minutes, and is the most common add-on to a back appointment — together they take roughly an hour.
About 20–25 minutes$45
Legs
Men's full leg sugaring covers both legs from the ankle to the upper thigh. It's $95 and takes about an hour.
About 60 minutes$95
Brows, ears, nose and neckline detail are available too — see the full men's price list.
Discretion & comfort
If you've never done this before, read this part
The single most common reason men put off booking isn't the sensation — it's not knowing what the room looks like, who else is there, or what they're expected to do. So here it is plainly: it's one room, one client, one specialist, and a door that locks. Nothing about your appointment is discussed, photographed or shared.
A door that locks
Single-occupancy studio. Appointments never overlap, so nobody else is in the building while you're on the table.
The same specialist, every time
You'll see Jessica at every appointment — no rotating staff, no re-explaining what you want.
No rushing, no upselling
Times are blocked generously. We quote before we start and never add areas or charges you didn't ask for.
Nothing shared, ever
No client photos, no names, no before-and-afters of male clients on social. Your appointment stays yours.
What happens, start to finish
- 01
A five-minute intake
Skin history, medications, past hair removal, and exactly which areas you want done — plus what you want left alone.
- 02
We explain before we touch
Every position and every step is described before it happens. If you'd rather we talk you through it or say nothing at all, just say which.
- 03
Small sections, body-temperature paste
Sugar paste is worked into the follicle and flicked off with the direction of growth. No heat, no skin-pull, no strips.
- 04
Soothe, aftercare, rebook
Skin is cleansed and calmed, you get a plain-English aftercare card, and we set the next appointment on the right cycle.
Sugaring vs waxing
Why coarse hair does better with sugar than wax
Hot wax bonds to the skin as well as the hair and is stripped off against the direction of growth. On thick male body hair that means more breakage mid-shaft, more redness, and more of those bumps that show up two days later — because a broken hair grows sideways into a closed follicle.
Sugar paste is applied at body temperature, grips only the hair and dead surface cells, and is flicked off with the direction of growth. More hair leaves from the root intact, live skin stays where it belongs, and there's no burn risk. Over three or four appointments most men see visibly sparser, finer regrowth.

Questions
Men's grooming questions
- Do you wax men in Welland?
- Yes. Bare Elegance at 9 Broadway in Welland offers men's hair removal for back, chest, stomach, shoulders, neckline, Brazilian and legs. We use sugaring — a natural sugar paste — rather than hot wax, because it's gentler on skin and produces fewer ingrown hairs on coarse male hair.
- How much does men's waxing cost in Welland?
- Back is $80, chest and stomach $65, shoulders and neckline $45, Brazilian $85, and full legs $95. Pricing is confirmed at the consult before anything starts, and there are no add-on charges at checkout.
- Does male Brazilian sugaring hurt?
- The first appointment is the most intense, and each flick lasts about a second rather than a sustained pull. Sugaring is gentler than hot wax because the paste grips hair rather than skin. Most men find the second and third appointments dramatically easier as hair regrows finer.
- How long does men's hair removal last?
- Three to five weeks for most body areas. Because sugaring removes hair from the root, regrowth is soft rather than stubble. Booking every four to six weeks keeps hair on one growth cycle, which makes each appointment faster and the results progressively sparser.
- Should I trim or shave before my appointment?
- No. Come as you are, with about a quarter inch of growth — roughly two to three weeks after shaving. Shaving right before makes hair too short for the paste to grip. If hair is over an inch long, we trim it in the studio at no extra charge.
- Is the studio private for male clients?
- Yes. Bare Elegance is single-occupancy: one client at a time, a door that locks, no shared waiting room and no other staff on site. We never take client photos and never use client names publicly.
- Is sugaring better than waxing for men?
- For coarse body hair, generally yes. Sugar paste is applied at body temperature and removed with the direction of growth, so it doesn't lift live skin the way stripped wax does. That means less redness, less breakage, and noticeably fewer ingrown hairs over several appointments.
- Can I book multiple areas in one appointment?
- Yes, and most men do. Back, shoulders and neckline together is the most common combination and takes about an hour. Booking areas together also keeps them on the same regrowth cycle, so nothing looks half-finished three weeks later.
